Principal Message

Ida Families,

I missed last week's principal communication due to becoming a first-time grandmother! Not only do I get to love on Ida students daily , I now have a grandson dote on.

As we transition into spring, our school calendar is quickly filling up with activities and sports events. While this is an exciting time of year, the business can be exhausting for our young learners. As we dig into the season, I encourage you to maintain consistent bedtimes and home routines. These steady habits are essential to ensure our students remain rested, focused, and ready to make the most of the wonderful experiences ahead.

Celebration of Cultures Night 2026

Ellensburg School District will hold a cultural night to celebrate cultures, diversity, and all the differences and commonalities in the students and community members in Ellensburg.
We would love to see you present your knowledge, artifacts, talents, and skills that showcase your culture!

Date: 5/01/26 (Friday)
Time: 5:30 - 8:30 pm
Location: Ida Nason Aronica Elementary

5:30-7:30 pm-Poster presentations/table performances & potluck
7:30-8:30 pm-Music & dance performances in the gym

Kid Heart Challenge

The American Heart Association is excited to extend our work with the NFL to support improving health outcomes at home and beyond through the Hands-Only CPR education. Students who complete Finn's Mission will earn an entry for two tickets to Super Bowl LXI in 2027, and your school will be entered to receive a $10,000 fitness equipment makeover for every 18 students who complete Finn's Mission.

Information was sent home with students on Friday, April 10.
